How to tie a Knot

Posted in Grooms, Weddings on August 7, 2007 by klic

Windsor Knot

The Windsor Knot is a thick, wide and triangular tie knot that projects confidence. It would therefore be your knot of choice for presentations, job interviews, courtroom appearances etc. It is best suited for spread collar shirts and it’s actually quite easy to do.

While just about everyone can use this tie knot to tie his tie, it looks especially well on men with longer necks as its wide form shortens the perceived height of the neck a little bit.

To tie the Windsor Knot, select a tie of your choice and stand in front of a mirror. Then simply follow the steps below:

1) The wide end “W” should extend about 12 inches below the narrow end “N”. Cross the wide end “W” over the narrow end “N”.

2) Bring the wide end “W” up through the loop between the collar and your tie; then back down.

3) Pull the wide end “W” underneath the narrow end “N” and to the right, back through the loop and to the right again so that the wide end “W” is inside out.

4) Bring the wide end “W” across the front from right to left.

5) Pull the wide end “W” up through the loop again.

6) Bring the wide end “W” down through the knot in front.

7) Using both hands, tighten the knot carefully and draw it up to the collar.

Congratulations, you did it! You see, it is not rocket science after all. Simply keep practicing the Windsor Knot a few more times until you can tie this necktie knot within less than 30 seconds.

Destination Weddings

Posted in Weddings on February 9, 2007 by klic

Destination weddings are more popular than ever before.  KLIC Photographic Design works with our couples to ensure every aspect of their vacation is covered.  When we travel with our clients to their desination location we make sure we know all the prime locations well in advance of arriving at the resort.  We discuss ideas and concepts with our couples so when we’re there during the celebration all we do is work, leaving the stress and chaos for our clients at home.  We don’t have any concerns about working overseas and have never run into a problem in 9 years.  It is such an honour to travel the distance to provide our clients with their “Memories of a Lifetime”.  Contact our staff at info@klicphotographicdesign.com to discuss your wedding dream.

Wedding Shot List

Posted in Weddings on January 30, 2007 by klic

When it comes down to the individual shots of your wedding KLIC Photographic Design makes sure your wedding images are geared for your taste and your comfort level.  For instance, if you are uncomfortable having a stranger in your house don’t ask your professional photographer for an all day service because it will be unnecessary financially and might even cause stress before the day has even begun.  Try to figure out what times of the day are important to you by going through the list below.  Most importantly make sure your photographer uses a guide on your day so no important shots are left out.  Your day flies by and you don’t have a second chance to capture the moments you will always cherish.  You might want to make sure that some or all of these shots are covered by your wedding photographer before the day even arrives.  Also make sure if you have anything special planned to let your photograper know well in advance like the rose ceremony, Ukranian Dancers, live music, etc.  Don’t forget all the candid images in between that capture the true emotion of your day.  This is just a guide and I hope it will be of great service to you while planning your Memories of a Lifetime:
